Joan Morrison Spends Sabbatical Here
Joan with a Crested Caracara
Dr. Joan Morrison, Associate Professor of Biology at Trinity College, Hartford Connecticut, is spending a sabbatical semester at Virginia Tech. While here, she is working on the conservation genetics of the threatened crested caracara with Eric Hallerman and on caracara ecology with Jim Fraser. Joan co-advises James Dwyer, a Fisheries and Wildlife Ph.D. student, with Jim Fraser. Joan has studied caracaras since 1993 and has published a number of articles on the species.
