Managing Impacts of Wildlife Damage

The Center for Human-Wildlife Conflict Resolution helps communities develop cost-effective solutions to existing and emerging human-wildlife conflicts. Ongoing projects involve Winchester, Galax, and Blacksburg. These efforts help these communities by bringing together representatives from key state and federal agencies and private-sector service providers to discuss issues, prioritize needs and develop effective responses to human-wildlife conflicts. The approach saves money and time for the parties involved and resolves many issues before they become controversial.
